National Volunteers’ Day – An Unforgettable Celebration in Lyon
In March 2024, over 1,000 volunteers gathered in Lyon to celebrate the annual National Volunteers’ Day. This convivial and festive event provided participants with a memorable day, culminating in the thrilling France vs. Germany match at Groupama Stadium.
The volunteers were warmly welcomed by Philippe Diallo, president of the FFF, Vincent Nolorgues, president of the LFA, and Raphaël Raynaud, coach of the French futsal team, which has qualified for the World Cup for the first time in its history, set to take place in September 2024 in Uzbekistan.
The day’s highlights included a luncheon show at the LDLC Arena, where volunteers enjoyed a captivating concert by Gaëtan Roussel. The event seamlessly blended institutional exchanges with festive activities, featuring a heartfelt video message from Didier Deschamps, coach of the French national team, before attendees headed to the highly anticipated France vs. Germany match at Groupama Stadium. This unforgettable celebration not only honored the dedication and hard work of the volunteers but also created lasting memories of camaraderie and national pride. Join us as we continue to celebrate and support the invaluable contributions of volunteers across the nation.
